Jacob Alexander Sheffler - 1827 (?)
I have a curious date floating around here somewhere that is making me nuts.
I have Jacob's birthdate - somewhere in my records - as 12 Sept 1826.
However, in the 1900 census Jacob shows a birth month of January 1927. This date coincides with many of the records I find in cyberspace listed by other researchers in the New Alexandria area.
Perhaps this is his baptism date. Or perhaps at age 73 it was getting a little fuzzy. Maybe if I can unearth my source this whole thing will clear itself up! :-)
